Clay 3D print
In our projects we work together a lot with spatial designer and machine builder Tom Dijkstra. Tom just finished building a clay 3D printer. He printed out the left cup in the picture, based on the first design. The cup looks a bit more rough and the print layers are visible – the typical 3D print aesthetic. It saves a lot of time because you don’t need to make a mold and cast clay; a production method that might fit well for our project. The middle cup is the clay cast version and on the right the 3D print we used for making the mold.
